Sacraments

Baptism
  • Under age 7
    • Please follow this link to the parish office sacraments page
  • 7 years old – 12th Graders
    • 2 consecutive year program through our CCE Department.
      • 1st year: grade level CCE classes with good attendance (no more than 5 absents).
      • 2nd year: grade level CCE classes with good attendance
        (no more than 5 absents) and Special Sacraments Classes with good attendance (no more than 1 absents).
      • Complete a Prayer Evaluations and both Sacrament interviews.
    • Students who were not baptized and follow this course should be prepared to receive Baptism, First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation.
  • High School Graduates and Older

Confirmation
  • 10th Grade:
    • 2 consecutive year program through our CCE Department.
      • 10th Grade year: LifeTeen classes with good attendance (no more than 5 absents) and Confirmation Prep 1 classes with good attendance (no more than 1 absents) .
        • Mass attendance is required on all class days and is recorded and reported to Father Eric.
      • 11th Grade year: LifeTeen classes with good attendance
        (no more than 5 absents) and Confirmation Prep 2 classes with good attendance (no more than 1 absents).
        • Mass attendance is required on all class days and is recorded and reported to Father Eric.
    • Attend required meetings with sponsors/parents
    • Participate in service projects and fundraisers
    • Teens are required to serve the church and the community for a minimum of 10 hours per year with a total of 30 hours. (10 hours of individual service to one’s family and community and 20 hours to our church over the course of 3 years)
      • All Service Hours should be completed by May 31 of 11th Grade and should be recorded in the student’s Service Folder.
    • Participate in an Exit Interview with a Confirmation teacher, Deacon or Father Eric.
    • After satisfactorily completing all of the above, he or she will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation during the Fall of their 12th Grade.
  • 11th Grade:
    • If he/she:
      • Registers for the first time in the 11th grade
      • Did not attend Confirmation Preparation 1 along with 10th grade Life Teen class OR
      • Attended Confirmation Preparation 1 class but did not receive credit
    • He/She must:
      • Attend 11th grade Life Teen classes (missing no more than 5 classes)
      • Attend Confirmation Preparation 2 class (missing no more than 1 class)
      • Attend weekly Sunday Mass, along with Wednesday night Mass on Confirmation Class nights (Mass attendance is recorded and reported to Father Eric)
      • Attend a Confirmation Retreat and during their 12th grade year
      • Attend and receive credit for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) classes
    • These students will not receive Confirmation during their 12th grade year. After satisfactorily completing all of the above, he or she will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation with the adults in RCIA.
